Held two days before Mindcamp, Pre-Mindcamp helps you get (re)acquainted with your fellow presenters, greeting old friends and meeting new ones. You’ll enjoy some special programs for presenters, and learn about what other presenters are doing: in other words, learn what you need to know to give the best program you can during Mindcamp. All this at a low rate ($176 for 2 nights) at a brand-new college residence at Seneca College Newnham Campus, a college residence and conference facility in the outskirts of Toronto (Finch Street East at Highway 404).
To get to downtown Toronto by public transportation takes about 50 minutes by bus and then subway (metro). Depending on traffic, Uber will get you there in less time, probably, at greater expense of course. Another option is to Uber to the subway station (faster than the bus) and then take the subway downtown (faster than an Uber).
Accommodation (optional, if you select it) consists of a clean, comfortable room with a double bed — a modern college dorm. Two rooms share a kitchenette and bathrooms. Linens and towels are provided. If you are coming as a couple and intend to share the bed, each should register as “couple” accommodation. If you are coming with a friend and NOT sharing a bed, each should register as single accommodation (we will try to get you in the same two-room unit).
Meals are NOT included. There are some modest campus-style restaurants and a small grocery store within the compound or within walking distance; higher-quality fare is a bus (or Uber) ride away.
All prices are in Canadian $$. US equivalent is about 76%.
- $176 with single accommodation ($88 for the extra night if you arrive Sunday)
