Getting to Mindcamp

Plan to arrive at Mindcamp between 3pm and 4:30pm Monday.

This page shows information about actually getting to Mindcamp. Further travel advice (visas, what to see or do in Toronto or Ontario) can be found here.
Unifor Family Education Centre is 200km (125 miles) north of Toronto Pearson International Airport. The best way to travel there is by car. We will also arrange for a bus.

Driving to Mindcamp

Unifor is a three-hour drive from Toronto. The address (for GPS) is 115 Shipley Ave, Port Elgin, ON, although Google Maps recognizes “Unifor Family Education Centre” as a place too.

No Car? No Problem?

We will arrange for ride-sharing as well as a bus to take Mindcampers from Toronto to Unifor and back again. Stay tuned for more details about this in spring 2023.

Flying to Mindcamp

FLYING IN: The Mindcamp site is a 3-hour drive from Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ). If you are flying in, plan to arrive the day before unless your flight arrives before 11am and you’re renting a car.
FLYING OUT: The earliest your flight should leave is 6pm on the last day of Mindcamp. It is probably best to plan to stay the night in Toronto.

YYZ Toronto Pearson International Airport is our main portal to the world. You can rent a car there. We will be renting a bus to Mindcamp with an accessible pick-up point: stay tuned for more information about that in spring 2023.

YTZ Billy Bishop Airport (informally known as “The Island Airport” as it’s on a small island in Lake Ontario near the city centre), is good if you want to spend time downtown. Again you can rent a car there, or simply stay tuned for information on the Mindcamp bus.
