Mindcamp Choice Session Description
3 levels of stretch
(Clare Dus, Kristen Peterson)
60 minutesThis is not a tools session. It's all about technique. A paintbrush in an amateur's hand is quite different than being in a master painter's hand.
We've all been in meetings to brainstorm ideas or discuss consumer needs or plan the steps to move a project forward. What often happens is people share the same ideas, the same data or the same action steps they've thought of before. And the meeting is over.
Getting to the 3rd 3rd of Thinking* is a divergent thinking technique designed to expand and stretch thinking beyond "we've thought of this before". This session will explore using 3rd 3rd Thinking in all 4 stages of creative problem solving: Clarify – Ideate – Develop - Implement

The Skinny: 3 things you will do in this session
- Understanding the levels of divergent thinking across all phases of problem solving
- Practice applying the 3 levels of divergent thinking using creative and critical thinking process tools
- Develop your own list of questions within your facilitation script
