Focus on: Alison Cohen
Alison is passionate about working towards creating a better world — on both a professional and volunteer basis. Her 25-year career focused on helping organizations and people embrace and implement change to help people thrive at work. Her roles include organizational development practitioner, project leader, mentor, instructor, facilitator and coach, in both the private and not-for-profit sectors on 5 continents.
Alison believes in living life to the fullest having led community development and educational programs in Guyana, Sri Lanka, Haiti, South Africa and Nepal. She has served on the Boards of various NGOs (including Facilitators without Borders), helping groups develop their innate capabilities to benefit their communities. Her interest in multiculturalism has been enhanced by her extensive bicycling trips though 21 countries in Asia, Europe and Central/North America. Right now, her best volunteer role is as a baby cuddler at a neonatal ICU.
She is a seasoned and proud Mindcamper having been part of the fun almost every year since its inception, as both a presenter and participant.
