R.L. Stephenson-Read, MSc, BMus, LTTA MA celebrates 35+ dynamic years as a performance artist/mentor/writer gaining extensive experience in theatre, film, writing & music; locally and internationally.
Subsequent to attaining an Honours BMus at McMaster University, R.L. studied Engineering & Production at Harris Institute for the Arts, Toronto. In NYC, she attended National Improvisation Theatre School, and studied privately with Thomas Parisi, AAMDA, and Broadway director, Michael Shurtleff, CDC. In 2013, she attained an MSc Music Psychology from Roehampton University, London, UK, as well as, a Mentor Artist Educator Certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto.
R.L. has coached vocal music, taught drama, the business of entertainment, music psychology and writing. RL is a registered career counsellor for youth with the Ontario Registry of Educators/Entrepreneurs. Ontario Culture Days retained her as a “human book” for cultural tourism.
Current focus is on providing mentorship, teaching & counselling services to an international spectrum, using the arts (music, acting, writing) as a core vehicle for delivery. Specialist in using music towards grief counselling services, as well as, music psychology in commercial and workplace environments. Interested in the build of academic R&D toward music therapy and musical experience as life enhancement for the deaf.
Aye Lighthouse B&B/Gallery/Foundation's mission is to raise R&D funding for hearing/sight deficit children. She has had the privilege of leading a double life; peace and comfort with her Hubby and Rusty-cat on their rustic hobby farm in the country, and a wild, adventurous, global ride in the entertainment business.
