Learning to read from creativity handouts is probably child abuse, but being raised by parents who included him in their work as value engineering and creativity consultants has given Chris an extensive grounding in the realities of facilitating and teaching creativity and innovation. Attempting to understand the underlying dynamics has driven educational and research that earned him a PhD in organizational behavior for his work on cross-functional team creativity.
Although he has taught students at every level from kindergarten to PhD he has spent the last 20 years as business professor primarily teaching MBA’s, imbuing teamwork and creativity into courses in organizational behavior, business strategy, leadership, and ethics.. Partnering with Janet Finley he has consulted for thirty years helping high diversity teams explore and innovate in highly complex areas, improving operations, improving culture, designing strategies in a great many different industries and technologies in various countries around the world.
