Human Library
15 minute sessions • Daily at 3:20pm (Anishinaabe)
What if books were people, and people were books? For one thing, you could ask them questions. You could have them expand on points of interest. You could thank them!At Mindcamp this year we're going to have a Human Library: a small, carefully curated selection of human "books" that Mindcampers can "borrow" for a 15-minute private conversation focussed on the topic of the book title. The underlying purpose of a Human Library is to give people a chance to talk to folks they would not normally have a conversation with, or (in our case) have a conversation that might not necessarily work over the dinner table.
The Human Library will be open for an hour at 3:20 each day. Click here for our current catalogue of Human Books... and a chance to reserve one (or more) in advance!
The Skinny: 3 things you will do in this session
- Talk to a human book
- Have a one-of-a-kind conversation
- Meet someone new (or a new side of someone you know)
