It’s not news to say we live in uncertain times. Nevertheless, we are doing everything we can to hold Mindcamp this August, while following any official directives from health experts and our government.
Our first priority is to protect your health. Our second priority is to protect your wallet.
We are in discussions with the YMCA (our host) about sanitizing and operational protocols at Geneva Park to minimize the risk of infection. The Y has considerable experience in this area as a manager of health and fitness facilities across the country. As they refine their housekeeping protocols for the current situation, we will keep you fully informed.
As to protecting your wallet, we want to minimize any financial risks associated with registering for Mindcamp. Here’s how:
First, if we at Mindcamp Canada have to cancel Mindcamp this year, you can have 100% of your money back. Yes, that’s 100%.
Second, for a limited time, we are reducing the price of attending Mindcamp Canada by nearly one-third.
Between now and May 15*, if you register for a shared room, originally priced at CAD$1,100, you will pay only CAD$760 (that’s US$547). A single room, originally priced at CAD$1,460, will be CAD$1,009 (US$726). Those prices include all meals, programs and taxes, as well. We’ve made similar cuts across the board (see the full schedule of these reduced prices here.
*Why May 15? That’s when we have to guarantee the number of rooms to Geneva Park.
As mentioned above, if WE have to cancel Mindcamp, you can choose to receive a 100% refund of what you have paid.
But there’s another option: in 2021 we expect to return to normal pricing. But you can apply the percentage you have paid for Mindcamp 2020 to cover the same percentage of your registration for Mindcamp 2021 — which means if you registered before May 15 and have paid in full, you will be able to attend Mindcamp 2021 at Mindcamp 2020 prices.
And if YOU have to cancel, for whatever reason, we will refund you as follows:
Before May 15, we refund 100% of the money you have paid. Your registration is risk-free.
- If you cancel between May 15 and June 30, we deduct a $50 admin fee.
- If you cancel in July, we deduct a $150 admin fee.
- If you cancel August 1 or later, we are obligated to pay for your room, so we cannot offer a refund; however, we will apply 50% of the fees you have paid toward next year’s registration at regular prices.
