Embrace the Shake is the title of a 10-minute TED talk by extraordinarily creative artist Phil Hansen. It illustrates how embracing one’s limitations can liberate oceans of creative thought and action—the very essence of Mindcamp’s wabi-sabi theme this year.
In art school, Phil developed a hand tremor that kept him from creating the pointillist drawings he loved. He was devastated, floating without a sense of purpose—until a neurologist made a simple suggestion: embrace the shake… and see what happens.
