Tour the Future of Food

What will we be eating in 10 years? How will we be shopping and engaging with our food?
This 90 minute session will be an inspiring and thought-provoking look at the future of food. We’ll explore the collision of evolving consumer expectations, dynamic technological advancements and rapidly changing environmental factors.
If you’re a foodie, a vegan, an environmentalist, a consultant to entrepreneurs looking to make money in the food space or just interested in eating healthier to feel better … this session will make you scratch your head and send a rumble in your belly.
This session takes place at the PC Cooking School, upstairs at Loblaws Maple Leaf Gardens, 60 Carlton Street, Toronto.
Kareth Middlemass is passionate about all things food. She’s been in the food industry for over 20 years working for Unilever, Nestlé and now Loblaw Companies Limited, Canada’s largest food and drug retailer. She is the Corporate Brands Innovation Director and member of the Loblaw Food Trends Council, alongside food industry thought leaders from across Canada. She is responsible for identifying emerging category and consumer trends and developing their branded product innovation growth platforms and strategy. Loblaw announced its intent to launch plant-based vegan products at a Future of Food summit in May – calling out just one of Kareth’s many initiatives to meet Canadian consumers’ emerging food needs.
Kareth brings clarity to the fuzzy front end of innovation by designing best-in-class process, tools and training leveraging CPS. She is passionate about creativity, building curious teams and designing innovative new products to delight consumers – sometimes before they even know they want or need them!
This is Kareth’s first year presenting at Mindcamp.
